PLATORROTO is a new word, a composition of two words in Spanish. "Plato" is plate and "roto" is broken. PLATORROTOs are artistic renditions made with pieces of broken china, cut and/or filed to conform to a previously sketched concept, glued to a panel or board, then grouted and cleaned.
